Hello Folks,
The CD release party was fantastic.  Thanks to all of you who stopped by, bought a CD or who were just there in spirit.  The Cat's Eye was packed and really jumpin'.  Along with my usual supporting cast of Rick Weisenmiller (drums) and Mark Riddle (bass) I was also joined by Gantt Kushner (guitar), Jen Smith (cello and background vocals), Patty Reese (background vocals), ellen cherry (background vocals) and Chasmo (harmonica).  I really appreciate the support and friendship of these excellent musicians.  Since then, I've been busy sending my CD out to DJ's and music journalists across Europe and here at home  and I've been getting an amazing response.  They're playing Big Easy Down at WTMD here in Towson, Laurelite and Love's Impossible in Germany, Big Easy Down in France and the Netherlands, NorfolkTown in Belgium, Broken Down Cowboys in the UK and Home for Christmas all over the place.  The disk is also spinning at a couple of radio stations in Australia and New Zealand as well as various staions acroos teh Western and Mid Western US!  You can see reviews of  Already Gone so far in January at the following sites:  www.rootshighway.it, www.johnnysgarden.nl and www.altcountryforum.nl. I will be adding more links to the "Links" page as more stations and reviewers turn up!
Also,  I'm working with Peter Holmstedt of Hemifran to further promote the CD all across Europe. I just wanted to say,  THANK YOU to all of you. I wouldn't still be out here doing what I love if it weren't for the support of all you folks who come out and see us perform and buy the cds.  I've started adding dates for the new year - so please check out the "Shows" page.
See you in 2010!
Best Wishes-
 Tony

November 2009
New CD just came in! CD release scheduled for Dec 12 at the Cats Eye Pub in Fells Point. More to come soon....

Fall 2008
A few years back I wrote a song about a boy who lost his dad in the Iraq war. Drummer, Timm Biery (Nils Lofgren Band), bassist, Dave Jacques (John Prine Band), and I,  layed down tracks for it in Timm's studio, just outside Nashville, back in 2005. I brought them back to Gantt Kushner's studio (Gizmo Recording Co.) in Silver Spring and asked him to lay down some guitar tracks. Jen Smith (Naked Blue Music) sang backing vocals and "voila", my next project was underway. I just came back from yet another trip to Nashville where I met up with Timm again and added, bassist, David Roe (Johnny Cash and the Tennessee Three) to the list of players graciously appearing for me on this recording.  I hope to finish the project up in the next few months. I've enlisted some wonderful east coast musicians for the project as well ( Eric Scott and Mark St Peirre to name a couple) and have relied on Scott Smith as co producer to some of the songs recorded in the "Wood and Stone Room" here in Parkville, Maryland.

I'll be in the studio quite a bit this spring so I'm keeping the live shows to a manageable level till the cd is completed.  I'll keep ya'll posted from time to time.

Till then…
